Black Forest granola
Chocolate and sour cherries make a great dessert combo, but why don't use them to make a healthy festive breakfast?
Sprinkle the granola over your favourite yoghurt, stir into porridge or just serve with some almond milk.
INGREDIENTS serves six:
- 40ml coconut oil
- 75g agave nectar
- 120g oats
- 40g puffed spelt
- 20g puffed rice
- 30g raw cacao
- 25g dark chocolate
- 75g desiccated sour cherries
METHOD:
1. Melt the coconut oil, and mix with agave nectar. Add the oats, puffed spelt and rice and cacao.
2. Combine well and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
3. Bake for 10-15 minutes on 175C. Check every now and then to keep it from burning.
4. Leave to cool completely and then brake into small pieces.
5. Add chopped dark chocolate and desiccated sour cherries and store in an airtight container.
